  • The printed image involves a portal or framed composition that opens into a botanical environment of orchids and foliage where three mirrors/frames sit atop a pedestal adorned with charms. On the right in the foreground, a violet-colored figure in profile faces toward three cropped reflected figures in similar shades and hues.

The title “ Lookin”, refers to internal and external modes of looking vs. seeing both individually and societally, with special attention to an often complex exchange between a concept of an inherent beauty possessed through existing “as you are” before other historical and modern narratives seek to obscure it, erase it, standardize it, reject it, enhance it, or transform it.
